Essay on Terrorism in Pakistan

                           Essay on Terrorism in Pakistan

Terrorism is a horrible threat to the modern world. It has become a problem around the world. Many innocent people are killed by terrorists. You can see terrorism in multiple forms include but not limit to, bombing, hijacking, cross border terrorist activities and massacres on a massive scale. Its consequences are very frightening. Though much effort is put into eliminating terrorism, it is impossible to get rid of it until some strict laws are devised. Whenever and wherever society is victim to brutality, injustice, wrongs and intolerance, terrorism cannot be eradicated.
Pakistan has been afflicted by this worse form of social malice for more than 65 years. It changed its forms and with the passage of time became more lethal and frightening. The religious intolerance, political mistrust and instability, military interventions, partial economic policies, myopic visionary policies, ethnic, regional and lingual prejudices let the flame of terrorism flared up in full swing which resulted in economic instability, trust deficit among different social factions and sense of instability among the masses of Pakistan.

Once it had been a limited circumference but today its menace it creating shivering affects on the society of Pakistan. This social curse has been multiplied especially for last two decades. The proxy war of Russian war in Afghanistan brought fire in Pakistan. It brought the flare of religious fundamentalism, intolerance and extreme prejudices among different religious sects and factions. Being a heterogeneous society, it was not affordable for Pakistan that a single theology could have complete domination over the others. Sectarian violence further fuelled to fire and the so called “The War against Terrorism” after 9/11, proved a last nail in the coffin of a stable Pakistan.

The terrorists used modern technology effectively. The automatic weapons and electrically bursting explosives encouraged terrorists to act violently while providing them with an easier way of attacking. Suicide Bombing has made it even more dangerous and alarming. Pakistan has been so much indulged in “The War against Terrorism” that there is no way to find out as far as quitting this serious situation is concerned. She has to bear the brunt of this unprovoked situation in the shape of organized violence, murders, bomb blasts, rapes, corruption, torture and brutality. This would further aggravate Pessimism, mistrust, hostility and cynicism and would exasperate ethnicity, sectarianism, tribal, clan and birder-based politics. These effects of Terrorism on Pakistan will further devastate the economic stability and the peace and tranquility would probably vanish from Pakistan.
Collective effervescence is need of the hour. Vast areas of the country are beyond the pale of the law. This deplorable and alarming situation demands serious and sincere consideration and some instant solution. We have to mitigate the above mentioned reasons of terrorism in Pakistan on solid footings and deal insurgent and mutinous elements of society with iron fist, collective vigilance, effective measures, proper and unshakeable law, and measured steps and with proper litigation. And this is only possible when the implementation and execution of law, indiscriminate accountability of the corrupt, nationalism and brotherhood, peace tolerance, justice and equality, education and awareness, writ of the government and rule of the law would prevail in our society.
